When I visited the magnificent Glasnevin Cemetery in Dublin, their visitor centre had a great exhibition, including a vivid life size depiction of how people robbed graves. Very instructional!

I would encourage everyone to read @hallierubenhold.bsky.social excellent book ‘The Five’. This has offered more to historical understanding than any number of facile books, documentaries and films on the Ripper. I don’t need to know his name. His victims however should be remembered and respected.

have an opinion that is respected, and to respect others - the results are amazing. I know I am there to help students pass exams (and I am ok at that!). But if a student likes themselves, whilst wanting to be better, and is kind to others, then I feel I have done my job. You are v. good at yours!

I have both directed and acted in, and epitomises his playfulness and sheer wit. I think he deserves the title genius. Hopefully his sad passing will be ameliorated by a some revivals on stage.

Agree that he is a huge loss - not afraid of being intelligent, and never patronising his audience, his writing was profound, warm, kind and humane. Arcadia is wonderful, but The Invention of Love is up there too (if only because Housman is a favourite of mine). The Real Inspector Hound is a play

The welcoming of those who flee persecution, war, famine or disease is a moral imperative. You can have a debate about migration, but basic humanity asks for a response to the suffering of humanity - especially as we are a rich country. This policy is abhorrent. I wish, rather than pander to those
