@tomswarbrick.bsky.social You do get that it's possible for someone to have started a fire and for that fire (and the result of it) to be much, much worse because of climate change? It doesn't have to be one or the other.

@tomswarbrick.bsky.social If we have to improve the screening for PIP, how much does that cost? If tougher rules (rather than improved screening). How many people who actually do need PIP are we prepared to exclude on the basis of catching a few who are swinging the lead?

Anyone who has ever dealt with an estate agent in this country won’t find it hard to believe Rachel Reeves’ version of events. They’re all incompetent shysters.

If it takes an act of parliament to remove Michelle Mone from the House of Lords then let's get on that. The government has a massive majority. Who's voting against removing (in the beautifully appropriate words of Dr Rachel Clarke) the "utterly avaricious greedy scumbag" #PPEScandal #MoneOut

Is the #postoffice sponsoring #ITVdrama to change the narrative? Like BoJo talking about model buses? I do hope compensation money for subpostmasters hasn’t been spent on sponsorship.

I feel like we missed a trick by not using an Uncle Sam/Lord Kitchener (who is the chemistry equivalent?!) image for this....but either way, read this...it's important. Here's a free-to-read link in case you don't have access rdcu.be/eDGTW

That's just the point though. They're not "all in one place" real football fans are forced to subscribe to multiple different channels to follow their team.

Increasing substrate scope is rarely addressed in discussions about the pressure that scientists face. Despite the growing awareness around burnout in research, larger tables are often welcomed, even when the extra work may not be scientifically valuable.
Normalising huge substrate scopes worsens wellbeing
