Where is the anti-war movement?
These boat strikes will be nothing compared to the war crimes they will commit after they initiate regime change to seize Venezuelan oil companies.

Sometimes I think these types would have opposed the pen.
We are living at a time when university leadership amplifies anti-intellectual tropes and technologies

These are very troubling times

It’s #WorldVentil8Day! 🌬️

Clean indoor air is a fundamental pillar of school safety.

Effective ventilation drastically reduces the spread of airborne illnesses (flu, RSV, COVID) and is crucial for maintaining healthy Ontario classrooms.

“There’s very little evidence of any dissent or daylight between the board and Musk on any issue,” said Stephen Diamond, a corporate governance expert at Santa Clara University. “You just have to wonder whether that’s really a rational way to run the company.”
Will Tesla shareholders vote to make Elon Musk the first trillionaire?
It’s not the outcome, it’s the margin.

Contributor: “Electing Mamdani would be an ominous turn for New York and the nation”

Moral panic over #Mamdani is bizarre- he’s barely left of center and doesn’t know the first thing about socialism.

“Deploying our military to watch over and intimidate our citizens is wrong and presents a clear and present danger to the First Amendment rights and freedoms we cherish. It must stop.”
I helped lead the National Guard. Troops don’t belong in our cities.
We must not permit this gross misuse of the military to be normalized.

Boat strikes put US service members in legal jeopardy:

"Some junior officers have asked military lawyers, known as judge advocates general or JAGs, for written sign-off before taking part in strikes .... It does not appear that such memos were furnished, said one of the people."
Top Democrats demand details of spy agencies’ role in boat strikes
Democrats are demanding that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard share intelligence on lethal operations against alleged narcotics traffickers.

I wrote a new piece outlining how SEC leadership is using “staff” statements and novel legal maneuvers to avoid the APA, a critical public transparency law.

It’s a way to deliver for the financial services industry while avoiding scrutiny of skeptics and public interest advocates.
In the past nine months, the SEC has strayed from the standard rulemaking process that is supposed to let members of the public have equal opportunity to comment on changes before they go into effect. Read more in a Substack by @amandalfischer.bsky.social: bettermarkets.substack.com/p/the-secret...
