Good wrap of the Hannah Thomas case in NSW. Increasingly clear that NSW Police lied about the evidence and maliciously prosecuted Thomas to try and deflect from their own misconduct www.sydneycriminallawyers.com.au/blog/calls-f...

There are calls for the charges against lawyer, former Greens candidate and legal observer Hannah Thomas to be withdrawn, and for the assaulting officer to be prosecuted.

A malfunction of their moral compass? Or was it ever installed?

The biggest problem with the ALP right now is it is led by someone who irrationally hates the Greens.

He doesn't really like to "fight Tories"; he loves to fight the party that reveals his actual lack of "left-wing" positions.

Someone needs to tell him to get over his uni politics crap.

The Murujuga rock art is one of Australia's most priceless heritage sites.

And it's being slowly destroyed.

If Environment Minister Murray Watt approves the 50 year extension to the North West Shelf, it will be a death sentence for Murujuga.

Never forget how many of those advising the ALP are patting themselves on the back for ensuring the govt did nothing in this.

“Not an issue/we made sure it hurt the Greens”

Those doing so are truly putrid. At best excusing murder, at worst cheering for it.

Well, it begins. I was hoping @albomp.bsky.social would finally grow a spine after growing his majority, but alas. Same old cowardice. Glad Keating isn’t mincing words. Not holding my breath Albo will actually do anything positive this term.
Paul Keating has commented on Ed Husic’s exclusion from the new Albanese ministry, making the point that it’s showing contempt for the Muslim community who supported Labor

Ah, the perfect representation of the rotten Albanese government, rushing through laws weakening environmental protection for profit and votes. (Supposedly — does he think voters are stupid?)

Totally, nobody dares call Dutton out on his bullshit. Sound familiar?

A great (as in depressing) thread on “Temu Trump”. So many examples of how Dutton never missed a chance to fail a character test as immigration minister.
I've spoken to half a dozen LNP MPs who had no idea about the citizen 'referendum' policy Dutton is backing in who all think it is nuts - but that is not the point. None are willing to push back because party stability these days means blind obedience, not challenge.

Awesome that Sydney has truly embraced metro! And yet:

> Despite the strong patronage, the agency said there were no plans to increase frequency of services, noting that how they aligned with passenger demand and usage was “continuously monitored”.

Booooooooooooooo!
Metro patronage continuing to soar. Anecdotally, crowding in the morning has caused some people to go back to the slower Trains.

Not mentioned in the story: Metro has overtaken the T1 North Shore & Western line. It's now Australia's busiest railway line!

Revealed: Sydney’s busiest metro stations during the morning rush

The USA is not a friendly nation. It is run by kleptocrats. Any political party not currently looking at reshaping our defence and foreign affairs policies is negligent in the extreme.

AUKUS must go. The AUSFTA is dead. We have leverage. Time to use it.

There is no acceptable affect, no way to charm an abuser, and no “deal” other than playing very very dead that would change how Trump and his flying monkey Vance behaved.

Fire the RTBU into the sun. Zero patience for a union that would try (in futility) to stop the planet from spinning.
