Putin's war in Ukraine is destroying the Russian economy and the financial cracks are becoming fissures of instability.
Ukraine is hammering Russian oil infrastructure.
This so called Trump peace deal is Russian desperation and Trump greed.
The shame is our President is compromised so fully.

1) Start the worst European war since 1945 and commit every imaginable war crime
2) Decide how you want to be rewarded for your aggression
3) Leak the list of your desiderata to the US press
4) Wait for the US president to enforce your wish list on your victim.

This is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.

It’s not a “US plan”, it’s Moscow’s plan, dictated to guilty men in the White House. Setting aside the injustices being pushed on Ukraine, this would be a disaster for European security & guarantee a war with 🇷🇺 in a few years, in which, presumably, 🇺🇸 and 🇷🇺 are on the same side.

I'd like a president who thinks the bar for state forces killing someone is higher than "a lot of people didn't like him," and is generally negative rather than positive about governments killing journalists for criticizing them.

Sorry to get so partisan, but that's how I feel.
This is how the depraved, unprincipled Trump excuses the murder of Jamal Khashoggi : blame the victim.

“A lot of people didn’t like that gentleman that you’re talking about, whether you like him or didn’t like him, things happen,” he says sitting with the culpable MBS.

Sickening and infuriating.

Robbie Gibb should have been ruled out of the running for the BBC Board in 2021: it was clear he'd been closely involved in setting up GB News - an ideological project aiming to rival to the BBC, & therefore a clear conflict of interest. The fact he was still allowed to join always rang alarm bells.

What an absolutely awful time to resign.

This move will be used to legitimize the accusation of bias and bolster Farage/MAGA criticism of BBC reporting.

The BBC brand will suffer major damage at the very time when it needs to show value of money.
