Having lost my own home and 99% of my possessions to a wildfire in 2021, my heart just goes out to the people of Maui. At least 36 people have died, more lost all they owned.
We were lucky, we weren’t there to experience the trauma directly, and our dogs were with us. Still the PTSD is all too real

I like everything bagels, but when did the Spice Lords decide that “everything bagel” spice was a thing? It’s just sesame & poppy seeds, some salt, and dried onions. How did this humble mixture become the focus of a big, multi-company marketing campaign/product launch to make it the next za’atar?

Our sense of vision is a weird combination of a bespoke sensor coupled to a very quirky processor (aka our brain). This works amazingly well most of the time, but sometimes it gets tricked! The sky blue horizontal lines are really, truly horizontal and not tilted! Tilt your screen and you’ll see it.
