Blue Prince👍
Roguelike experiences like this have really grown on me, and the mysterious setting helped a lot in making this a really enjoyable game. It has RNG that can be frustrating (like in Returnal) and ruin a run, but I was able to persevere and reach the 46th room.

Balatro 💙
Lives up to every bit of the hype. This is a game I could return to for years to come. The poker rogue-like formula is just so finely tuned and compelling to get you to start one more run.

Arcade Paradise 😐
Laundromat sim. After 2 hrs I kinda like where this game is heading, I just don’t want to do actual laundry to get there. Dislike how slow you are forced to move. Can’t adjust sensitivity and it feels so sluggish. Interesting idea, but I’ve given up on it.

God of War Ragnarok 👍
Long time fan of the series, and this is a solid game that seems to cap off this chapter. Story ending and development of characters was a huge strength. It’s a like, not a love, however. I found myself not really pulled in for the first 2/3 of the game.

If someone asks the President of the United States if he needs to uphold the Constitution and the answer he gives is anything other than “yes,” we have a big issue.

I get so much amusement out of ironic nicknames like Small Paul for someone named Paul who is large. Diminutive Danny.

Dying Light 2 👍
The parkour traversal is the best part of this game, and it’s a large part. Story and combat are only alright. Enjoyed this but it didn’t convince me to stay and complete additional quests or challenges after I finished the story.

Movies didn’t get any funnier for 10 year old me in 1995. Maybe Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. But that’s it.

7 Days to Die 💙
If I had to pick only one game for the rest of my life it would be this one. Bought it at least 3 times on different platforms. It has come such a long way from the earliest days over a decade ago. Zombie survival, base building, crafting, progression system - all fantastic.

Anno 1800 👍
Scratches the city builder itch, and I enjoyed the historical time period during the Industrial Revolution. I can see myself coming back to this game often. Only knock is that the management of a multi-island empire just begins to feel like a full-time job near the endgame.
