🚨 Reform doesn’t stand up for working people. ❌They voted AGAINST the Employment Rights Bill, blocking rights like job security 🔒 & flexible hours 🕒 @labourunionsuk.bsky.social.

While the big S160 is out of service for now, there's no harm in sharing a photo of one of these mechanical war veterans for VE Day. @worthvalley.bsky.social

A chance encounter yesterday evening with a herd of 7 fallow deer near Oakworth Station. I've seen them around quite a bit when I'm out and about but not usually as many as this and not as close-up. 😊

The B16 class was a Raven design for the NER dating from 1920. Some were later rebuilt as B16/2 & 3s by Gresley and Thompson, though not No 61445, seen on a train from Scarborough to York, racing through Kirkham Abbey which, like most local stations on the line, closed as long ago as September 1930.

Valentine's Day is a bittersweet day for me for a few reasons...

But in spite of those feelings... The trains have and will always be there.

Feb 14th 2017 - Tornado at Garsdale
Feb 14th 2023 - 52044 at Keighley
Feb 14th 2024 - 41241 (aka the Lady in Red, at least to me), Ingrow West.

A single 400-year-old ancient oak produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year while soaking up carbon dioxide, and can support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, and lichen. Nature is amazing - we need more of it, not less. Please repost if you agree 🌳
