“Fuck Best Practices: A Chainsaws Guide to Writing Code That Actually Works”

I’m thinking of writing a blog post titled this.

One file of code rendered from 400 lines monster to 63 lines. Same functionality. Imagine this across tons of files. We are talking thousands of lines of chainsaw.

Good deal. Not like I didn’t sound the alarm for a while now. Nobody seems to care. Just the way it goes.

Bye bye coral.

Planet’s first catastrophic climate tipping point reached, report says, with coral reefs facing ‘widespread dieback’
Unless global heating is reduced to 1.2C ‘as fast as possible’, warm water coral reefs will not remain ‘at any meaningful scale’, a report by 160 scientists from 23 countries warns

@vtanger.bsky.social reading your most recent piece I always ask myself reading these. Why no one actually specifies what the actual hardware requirements are. It’s not like it’s difficult to determine. I’ve written my own AI inference engine.

Should I become a AI influencer though posting the downfalls?

🧵/1 So imagine that you used MS Office and you went to use spell check. It charged you $1.50 per each 100 words. Yet it was wrong 70% of the time forcing you to regenerate. Each time you regenerated it broke a different word.

AI Agent Coding. You are like cool I got the perfect interface made.

Claude is a Sarge of Debugging my god.

ChatGPT is like adhd spastic bastard.

Fact check them across with debug output if the lock and load sarge says it then gpt agrees then it’s good. If gpt can’t keep it together it’s wrong.

1️⃣ Goal: fit perfect big-float in space of this emoji 💾.
2️⃣ Reality: 32kb 0ULP toaster compatible.
3️⃣ Side Effect: my dive computer now does orbital mechanics.
4️⃣ Scary: the toaster may achieve sentience.

It’s the software equivalent of fitting a jet engine into a shoebox.

So much money at stake, these games Elon played and is continuing to play.

You know? This is really dark territory with the incentives and how bad it is. Sadly I warned a long time ago things were not well. Really too bad as an owner of one of the oldest Model S this is not what was to happen.

Observational crisis.

Amarillo Texas.

11pm. It’s dark, it’s quiet. Lights have been spontaneously turning off cutting the glow in the sky. With fog it’s never this dark. It’s usually glow mode.

People are trying to cut energy. Sorry won’t help we baked in efficiency with LEDs

Remember all my posts about Tesla and Elon? When I got attacked by the mob incessantly for just asking for simple things that would make the company invincible?

Yeah about that.

So whatever happened to the Tesla referral program and the roadster? I never qualified but I know a bunch of people did.

How can he be going on about the robotaxi when the roadster isn’t complete yet?

Over the weekend, I analyzed data showing a big drop in foreign travelers flying to the US. Today, I wrote about that analysis and the lessons it holds for evaluating crime data and trends.

Major windstorm and damage.

This was interesting, note to self. Don’t live by a bunch of auxiliary buildings. They like to shed steel death blades.

With this post, it’s important to remember even without the protests. Sales would be dropping one thing has nothing to do with the other.

It’s simply toxicity to a brand has and will do damage. This is why it’s better for companies to stay out of politics and do their jobs.
Sales are dropping so fast does it even matter?

This is just crazy with how fast things are changing. I guess it’s a good thing I own other vehicles besides my Tesla. I am not forced to drive my EV.

Owning one since 2013, this is the worst I’ve ever seen it. It can’t be long before Elon is asked to step down.

So you want to buy a pit boss grill? Check this out. I got one of the really nice pro ones. Well it has a stupid plastic gear. I 3D printed a replacement. That works for now. I’m having a steel one milled for permanent fix.

What do you do when you got a RWD car and can’t get solid hubs? You make your own solid hub.

Let’s see how this works.

After several hours of buffing. Mainly as I have to keep charging my die grinder. The score mark is nearly buffed out.

Hopefully this works.

Everyone who knows, knows the Nordic chip is where it’s at for Bluetooth efficiency. The ESP32 chips are stunning for dual core. Why limit yourself to a 328p or anything. Even the SAMD21 kills the arduino.

I need to test my H2 yet and compare to the Nordic it’s supposed to be on par.
