Don't forget that Zohran Mamdani spent his entire campaign standing proudly beside the trans community. He went to trans rights rallies just to show support. He proudly waved trans rights flags without hesitation. He refused to back down in support of trans rights. That makes me happy.

Not sure where the cover paintings will finish at Live auction, but bids on Heritage are fascinating. That’s a record already for the Asimov concept.

I see this little argument about Wonder Woman being brunette…
Reminder! Wonder Woman is within all of us, and sometimes, she has blonde hair like Sabrina Carpenter! 💫

This Texas law went into effect Sept 1 and it was less than a month before our familiy’s first experience with bullying in a “no place for hate” school. The target of bullying was moved to another class.

Was looking for copies of Tanith Lee’s Flat Earth novels, and oh boy are those early DAW editions priced high. 🤯

There's a notable SFF auction that opens at Heritage in a few weeks that includes a pair of Michael's cover paintings for Poul Anderson.

ICYMI, you can view the Barry Lamka collection here:

Unless they’re in a boat?

Unless they are driving their kids to school?

Unless you’ve deported or extrajudicially rendered them to a place they’ve told you/the State Department has told you they will be assassinated?
“Look, just because we don’t support illegal aliens, we don’t want them to be executed by violent assassins engaged in political violence,” Vance said.

So:

Fascism is bad
The First Amendment is good
Genocide is an actual fucking crime

And also:

It's appalling to be in 2025 where each of these is not, in fact, taken as part of the baseline shared reality anymore

The gaslighting surrounding this man’s “civility” flies in the face of what he said in public. There are so many clear examples of what he stood for.
Charlie Kirk Sept 27 2024: "Just so we're clear, the Haitians that are in Huntsville that are raping your women and hunting you down at night - it's only gonna get worse - unless Donald Trump wins
There will be hundreds of thousands of Haitians brought into Alabama and they will become your masters"

Buh-bye. You know why.

The hagiography underway with Charlie Kirk is as baffling as it is infuriating. He was openly a bigot. Calling him a "civil" debater is an insult to the communities he openly disparaged.

Still working on the art preview for the release tomorrow. And by "working on" I mean that I still haven't seen the art! 😂

Overdue pupdate…Lola is obsessed with garbage trucks. And this tiny lizard that hangs around our cans.

Back from visiting family and hopefully will be posting on a more regular schedule. Two weeks on Pacific Time left me oddly out of sync. Lola was a good traveler tho.

Could be historic if they throw ICE into the Boston Harbor…
Boston’s acting ICE Field Office Director said in a FOX television interview that her agents will work around Mayor Michelle Wu and other local officials’ resistance to federal immigration enforcement in the region.

“Unlike Mayor Wu, I was born and raised in Massachusetts, I grew up in Boston, and I know what a safe Boston looks like, and this isn’t it,” Hyde said.

It took a week to see the orthopedist and get fitted for the removable cast.

12 days later, the bruising has faded on the side of my wrist but is still bad on the inside. Still icing it. Still having hard time finding a comfortable position sleeping with it elevated.

I’m on Pacific Time for the next month so the posting schedule is going to be in flux until I settle in. Traveling with dog, have broken wrist, yada yada.

Additional pupdate adding to the newsletter...webmaster down!

Lola upended me at the park yesterday and sent me sprawling. I fractured my left radius and probably my wrist. Have to get a CT to confirm that tomorrow.

Fortunately I'm not in pain and Lola is ok.

The creek was dry when I rescued Lola two weeks ago. Glad I got her when I did.

The second photo was after the rain and flooding we had here.
