Hell, maybe that's what made her cut corners recruiting Robert- she was on a deadline for improvement but the last Dispatcher quit suddenly with very little time left.

When you first load up on the computer in the records room, she says that if there isn't improvement for the Phoenix Program, it's going to get scrapped, but that never gets brought up again.

You cannot provide a child with values that you do not have yourself. And no lab can build a child that will have your positive attributes. Because it's not about genetics. My father excelled in physics and math. I, however, did NOT.

I'm not saying that rich people are terrible parents, but I'm going to tell a story. A true one.

My grandmother worked as a maid for a rich politician. His son grew dangerously sick. In that mansion full of wealthy elites, my grandmother was the only one who knew how to get that child's fever down.

And as that child's nanny, my grandmother would take him right over to the ghetto (because clearly his own mother didn't give a damn about him) where he would be watched by my great grandmother so my grandmother could run errands.

A good friend of mine (and an amazing photojournalist) is going through something similar. He has stage IV cancer, and was diagnosed at 30. It’s a nightmare.
