I've often warned the real risk of AI images is giving people the ability to deny the real images more than making them believe things that aren't true.
Trump claims a video showing people throwing bags out a White House window is "probably AI generated." Doocy then plays the clip for him. Trump still insists it's AI.

My personal experience with online safety was my school installing strict internet controls to Protect The Kids™, so I joined a hacking forum to learn bypasses. The users also taught me how to import drugs via the dark web. Then I got arrested by the FBI for computer hacking. It was all very safe.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.
