What was your first Pokemon game and starter?
I didn't own a Gameboy or Color, so I didn't start til gen 3. What's funny as well is I picked what would end up being my least favorite starter of the lot. Thankfully all three are pretty top tier!

I don't remember which one I beat first, so I'll put both it could be. I played both of them a lot at the time and hogged the Genesis for a while. So either it's Sonic 2 or Spinball, and both are still favorites to this day!

I was on my first deployment. Out on the airfield making sure my equipment was ready to be used, someone was in front of me with the biggest piece we had. I got out of the truck to talk with him and accidentally scared him. He screamed "OH MY GOD A GINGER NINJA" and I just combined the words.

Originally, SuperSonic came from Sonic 2 when Sonic turned super for the first time with the numbers 71087, my b-day, at the end back in the AIM days. Now, the origin is I speedrun both "Super" Mario Bros and "Sonic" the Hedgehog games. The underscore is just there on Twitch.

And while we're at the topic of using websites or apps wrong: Please stop using Github as your only platform to host enduser tools. Finding actual releases on Github is horrible and if you make non-devs read the words "clone repository" you should be hit with a shoe.
"discord is not documentation" needs to be tattooed on the foreheads of everyone who treats their discord server as the place to go for troubleshooting, faqs, patch notes, etc.
not just game devs, but tech people adjacent to gaming, like twitch chatbot and extension developers too

I'm begging you, small game developers, do not silo all feedback, info, workarounds, etc into discord. The fraction of folks who know where to look, or even want to join are so small. Joining a discord for every game I'm playing just to see if a patch is coming is driving me up the wall.

Finally jumped back into speedrunning/streaming yesterday with some derust of Spinball. Last thing I expected was to wipe out my old PB by nearly 2 minutes! (Time difference is wrong, as I lost the split for my old PB and was working off my best since). Very pleased to be back!
