Have none of these cowards ever had to deal with childhood bullies? Giving in NEVER works. They love your fear and capitulation, and the bullying gets worse and worse. *You either have to A. Stand up to them yourself, or B. Find someone bigger, stronger to stand up to them in your place.

Well if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck—only the duck is a pedophile child-rapist and the NYT is complicit

Let him have time to see his friends his foes,
And merry fools to mock at him resort;
Let him have time to mark how slow time goes
In time of sorrow, and how swift and short
His time of folly and his time of ;
And ever let his crime
Have time to wail th’ abusing of his time.

I feel like we’ve all forgotten Elon Musk and pimply Big Balls came in, stole all our data, turned it over to the regime??? I guess there’s too much to process

This is totally correct!
My belief is that Kamala would have won last year if they’d let Tim Walz keep calling Vance and Trump “weird.” But the professional Dem consultant class closed off the one attack that actually resonated with voters.
Endlessly attacking Trump as depraved and support for him as a form of moral failure actually made people stop supporting him. Shame and disgust are very powerful weapons.

I mean, if I signed up to be in the military, I’d not be super jazzed to be assigned security guard duty with the guys that maybe didn’t make it through police academy?

Things are falling apart, and that IS tragic. BUT early in their campaign, Harris’s “joy” vibe and Walz’s calling out the MAGAs as “weird” were the perfect pokes at the Right, and whoever told them to back off was profoundly wrong

I sort of knew it would pass—the Repubs are scared of him and his gun-toting minions who show up at midnight shooting dogs and humans. A little part of me was hoping, though

So is ICE busting up crime rings, or is it just restaurants at this point?

Many American voters are likely to excessively overcorrect from 2024-2025 to look for honest, authentic, effective, consistent communicators who don’t rely on slogans and platitudes in 2026-28. They aren’t plentiful.

It’s not that people from where I’m from don’t understand words like oligarchy. They do. It’s that words like oligarchy are political-jargon-speak. *See Orwell’s “Politics and the English Language” **Man, the political pundits just do not get middle America

Just spent 3 days in rural MN. Dems: focus on working class unions, the ability to make your own health care decisions, and robust, community public schools. Use clear, plain language. Instead of “oligarchy,” say Cargill or JBS. Why is this so hard?

I really wish the Dems realized the old rules/norms are gone. “Writing the White House” re concerns about market manipulation is a colossal waste of time. They don’t read. They see the written word as a weak relic. COME ON PUNCH BACK

You know it’s bad when the yogis are talking about how they can’t afford to ditch their Teslas, so they either buy those stickers or just don’t drive

There are so many moments when I just can’t believe the independent-leaning South Dakotans I grew up around in the 70s and 80s became the current crop of mean-spirited magas.I have to believe there’s still a core of goodness. Somehow.

Shout out to the NYC docent at MOMA who asked me if I was from MN (yes), then asked if I liked Tim Walz (big yes!), then told me he wanted Walz to run in 2028 (would miss him but yes!). *And Christina’s World is not currently on display.

Nothing’s going to make a car/dumpster truck more popular than desperate insistence from the Ketamine weirdo and his orange man. (Why the Dems stifled the Walzian “weirdo” label is absolutely beyond me.)
