oh yeah! the og ancillary trilogy is so good. still need to read the newer stuff. once you're done with this and still in the mood for sci-fi with amazing worldbuilding i super recommend Ninefox Gambit.

But in og Alien trilogy at least the characters were smart - and still got outmatched by the creature. Here they are all so so stupid that a fermented bamboo drunken panda would destroy them. It's more in line with Prometheus / Covenant idiocy while using og esthetics. I find it a frustrating mix
