Stephen Miller tried to claim only real "Americans" built the Empire State Building, but he left out the true stories of the Indigenous ironworkers who actually did. The Mohawk Skywalkers helped shape America's skylines—and shatter the lie behind Miller’s whitewashed nostalgia.

We've arranged a society based on science and technology, in which nobody understands anything about science and technology. And this combustible mixture of ignorance and power, sooner or later, is going to blow up in our faces.

Measles 🧵

As of July 9th we’ve had 1,288 confirmed measles cases from 27 outbreaks across 38 states, the highest number of cases in one year since 1990 (when we had 27,808 cases).

Measles will continue to spread until >95% of vulnerable people in an outbreak are either infected or vaccinated

Trump destroyed 60 years of American generosity—
aid that fed families, kept girls in school, saved 26 million from AIDS, and now puts 14 million lives at risk.

He wants your tax dollars for raids, cages and terrorizing our communities.

If you mean it, don’t just like it.

Repost it!

Thanks @jessicavalenti.bsky.social for breaking this down.

The GOP’s latest bill would criminalize abortion providers for providing standard healthcare by punishing how fetal remains are disposed—based on false water contamination claims. It’s disinformation and it’s invasive.

Almost like actions have consequences. In this case, the cost of those consequences are human lives.
They gutted and neglected the FAA and the planes started crashing.

They defunded the NIH and the CDC and Measles came back from extinction.

They dismantled the weather service, NOAA, and FEMA and a flood killed 250+ people.

An issue I don’t believe has been addressed regarding the deep cuts to SNAP, is how many grocery stores in low income areas will go out of business. Mom and pop, family owned markets. For many, almost all of their customers are on food assistance. The Krogers will just close their doors and move on.

For more than a century, believers in racial “purity” feared diversity would destroy the West. In reality, it is diversity that won wars, propelled Western civilization forward, while rigid “purity” led to blindness, stagnation, and defeat.

No one should be above the law, most especially the President.

Ignoring a Supreme Court ruling to facilitate Kilmar Abrego Garcia's return isn't just cruel; it's unconstitutional.

They're saying the quiet part aloud — if they get away with it now, they'll do it to anyone.

Because if you don’t track it, it doesn’t exist. That seems to be exactly how Trump wanted to handle (or handled, as the case may be) COVID. And thus, if something doesn’t appear to exist then he can claim he cured it or that no other president has ever done so much to eliminate all of it 🙄
