At this exact point in time, Dems in Congress have a very bad hand. Earlier this year they played a bad hand badly. Now they're playing the bad hand about as well as they can.

Yeah he’s genuinely amazing. Just a perfect union of writing and performance. And probably the best voice work in the game? If someone is obviously better, it doesn’t immediately jump to mind

Yup. I know that my options here in Alabama are uhhhh….. pretty limited as far as progressives go. But I know that electing them will further empower the actually good options in the dem party

This is my biggest thing about the discourse around dem strategy. Since it’s all up to what primary voters want, there’s only so much that any overall strategy can *actually* do. We get the party that the voters want
