One reason I haven't had time to work on maps -- but at least it involves lettering!

Spent a few diverting moments today playing with , @doersino's minimalist generative art toy. It has "unlabeled" controls, that encourage you to explore without expectation. Very seamless design and excellent user experience.

A map fresh from the generator. There are a few oddball names (Loinpaobtutbeach?) and I had to tweak a few label placements, but overall I think it's pretty interesting. I mean, don't you want to explore Obelisk Rock? 😆 #fantasy #maps #proceduralgeneration #cartography

This map of the Sleria Commonwealth popped up during testing today. I liked the color combinations and thought there was a nice variety of interesting elements on the map. #proceduralgeneration #fantasy #maps #cartography

In my last post on continent-sized maps I noted the weather model didn't work very well. In my latest post I start rewriting the winds model. The big effort is to switch it over to run on hexes, which I mostly steal from @redblobgames.
