deeply hate the distinction of "American citizens" here. it's also bad if they send non-citizens to a gulag. it's bad if—gasp—they send undocumented people to a gulag. it's bad if they send literally anyone to a gulag!!!

you draw the line the second they try to cross it, not after they've cut a salient into your heart
if you find yourself reluctant to support the guy at Columbia because you find some of the politics he espoused distasteful or even abhorrent, you should know that this is exactly the reaction that they hoped for in choosing him as a target for unlawful detention based on political speech.

I have a big ask. My 9yo son is autistic and he’s been raising a betta fish he named Kevin. Yesterday He asked if he could “share a photo of Kevin with the whole world“. I don’t know if this will work, but a dad’s gotta try. Like and share if that’s your thing. Kevin says hi! 🐟👋
