Just stumbled on an old email that reminded me congress doubled my federal student loan interest rates in 2012, 1 year after I graduated. When I took out the loans, interest was 3.4% now it's almost 7%. Now they wonder why so many millennials haven't been able to pay them back. #studentloans

I get the stock market is bad but the equivalent has already happened to foreign aid, research funding, and public health. Everyone didn't freak out because there isn't some ticker on the news measuring the number of cancer researchers and Ebola prevention experts being fired.

It took seeing adult bullies to understand that my childhood bullies didn’t even really want to hurt me, they just wanted to feel powerful and how I felt about it wasn’t even in the equation.

I don’t know how true it is that Elon musk’s were in OPM and other gov offices with hard drives locking out employees and taking data. But if it’s true, paired with the Twitter data he has, that’s pretty scary.
In theory he could potentially pair Twitter acts with folks so social security.
