After public outcry, a provision has been removed from the House tax bill that would've essentially given the executive branch free rein to shut down non-profits and stifle dissent.

This is a big win, but we must keep up the pressure to make sure this dangerous proposal stays dead.

It should be added that people with TPS are never supposed to get less than 60 days' notice before they lose that status. DHS' position here is that they already got those 60 days between February and April, which is not remotely in accordance with the reality of suddenly losing status just today.
Today's action is the single largest mass-illegalization event in US history.

350,000 people woke up this morning with legal status, living and working here with official permission. They'll go to bed as undocumented immigrants facing deportation.
BREAKING: SCOTUS allows DHS to reinstate Sec. Kristi Noem's order ending Temporary Protected Status for many Venezuelans, but notes the decision does not address challenges to actions "purport[ing] to invalidate" related legal status, work authorization documents, etc., previously granted under TPS.

The Trump admin barred states from receiving ANY disaster relief funding or transportation funding unless they agree to act as agents for the mass deportation agenda by committing their state resources to helping ICE and end any program open to residents regardless of status. So states are suing.
New: States say the Trump Admin is holding emergency relief and transit funds "hostage" in retaliation for not complying with immigration directives.

"More cars, planes, and trains will crash, and more people will die as a result."
