#dogsky #medsky peeps out there, you know if $140.00 is really the going rate of a fecal Giardia test in the East Bay on the Albany edge of Berkeley? We decided to wait on getting the giardia retest because no one was able to share if this is the regional prevailing rate or not, I asked directly.
A listing of vet services for dog on Nov 11 totaling over $582, including $140 for giardia fecal test. (Cancelled this retest, moved during the medication to retest window for asymptomatic giardia. Dog diagnosed during annual well patient exam in September.

In our new locale/home in Cali, we did our first whole brined roasted chicken late last week plus chicken stock (w/purple 🥕) yesterday, using about 2 cups of the stock to make an amazing riff on japanese chicken soup with bokchoy. #Cooksky #Meatsky Love resourceful & healthy cooking for family
Whole roast chicken on rack in skillet with perfect gold/orange/browned skin, all atop a conventional electric stove. (Chicken was in a 24 hr home made brine first, cavity stuffed with fresh cilantro, skin brushed lightly with butter then pepper and light salt, wings and legs trussed) ~ 4 lb chicken using supports 4-6 meals plus some for the 🐶 homemade 3 hr chicken stock ingredients in large pot on the stove. Fresh herbs (thyme, etc), lemon, garlic, ginger, purple onion, can’t see the celery, or purple & orange carrots, water, chicken organs from the freezer, retained bones/carcass, skin and drippings. Bowls of a japanese style chicken noodle + bokchoy in large orange hued pasta bowls. After the stock was made, I cooked noodles, I used about 2 cups of stock to make a broth with miso and other ingredients, and I steamed up the bokchoy in the stock, adding the green tips last. About 5 cups of remaining broth in containers. The darker hue comes from the purple carrots used in the stock, which is why I had leftover purple carrots, sometimes I don’t want pink/purple cooked dishes.

I only met 1 of 3 #running goals AND ended up using 2nd inhaler this afternoon ( #EosinophilicAsthma ). It was so 🥵 (or my body felt it more from combined conditions that this was me 50:36 mins in….and none of this is water. So my break pics today. No h2o stations seen on poorer end of trail yet

Last night when I screenshot the new @bram20.bsky.social account for it’s creepy behavior it was up to 3 followers, 37 following and 70 posts, hours into being a fresh account mostly using LLM/generative AI to grow/respond.

There’s a clear dip in the table, I went from extrapolating my daily indoor Denver runs from outdoor generated scores from outdoor runs on travel in July & August to California and Seattle to running outside in Nevada and California in October and Apple predictably floored my scores for not feeding its GPS machine. VO2 max from apple is usually much lower, especially for non-fitness walking. When you run, don’t pause your watch for at least 21 mins if possible as apple will penalize as a break.
