The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion, after getting $1.2 trillion richer over the past year alone.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country is getting squeezed by tariffs and high prices for groceries, utilities, and health care.

The system is broken.

Where is all this tariff revenue going? Where is the corresponding announcement for lower taxes? Is anyone asking?

$360 billion is equal to 17% of all income taxes paid by Americans in 2022. Shouldn't our tax burden be lowered by 17%? Are they just stealing it?
Americans paid a record $30B (or $360B annualized) in tariffs this month, as the costs of Trump's trade war continue to escalate. Tariff revenues are now up more than 230% from this time last year and still rising.

This is so important…

Sharon has been tracking license plates on cars driven by ICE agents, and she’s finding they don’t match the vehicles.

In other words, ICE is using secret, illegal tactics—just like we suspected.

REMINDER: the DMV is not a federal agency.

The rich don’t spend the money they have, and the poor don’t have money to spend.

This is a problem when 70% of the economy relies on consumer spending.

Closing our nation's wealth gap isn’t just the right thing to do. It’s essential to save our economy. https://youtu.be/S6dCh48b4oI?feature=shared

More than 880,000 workers will get a raise this summer due to state minimum wage increases.

Anyone upset about this should consider the following:

If the minimum wage had kept pace with worker productivity gains since the 1960s, it would now be nearly $26 an hour.

I am grieving the barbarism that is going to unfurl from all this. People are going to die. Livelihoods gone. All to feed a corrupt kleptocracy.

I see every day up close how different it is from the first time around. There are no guardrails. A disaster. I’m sorry we have to live through this.

Early estimates indicate that it will cost around $450 million a year to operate the detention camp. ChatGPT estimates it would cost about $440 million a year to permanently house all homeless veterans. I think that speaks volumes about the priorities of the Trump administration.

There is no moral equivalence between bullies and the bullied, between tyranny and democracy, or between brutality and decency. No individual can be free in a society devoid of justice. There can be no liberty where brutality reigns.

Stoke fear. Exploit desperation. Suspend the rule of law. Fan brutality.

Every time the stronger brutalize the weak, it’s fundamentally the same playbook.

Our duty is to stand up to brutality.

Our moral obligation is to protect the vulnerable and hold the powerful accountable.
