Last post of this course....I'm glad I managed to get Hunted working, even if it wasnt to the point that I wanted to. I'm proud i managed to create multiple paths and learned how to parse from a spreadsheet. Tomorrow i'll animate the text in a simple way and take screenshots. #smallgamestudio

started off playing this game called "lian" by yi. with the use of the squares, it reminded me of this old game called "marriage"? or something. you would have to dodge certain shapes otherwise it would shrink the square. the concept of distance "hurting" the squares is cool

Okay. I'm going to stay up to figure out how to do something like a brick breaker x pong, where you just try to keep the ball reflected. I want it to speed up after a certain amount of seconds (30?) so hopefully i can figure that out

Released my story game on itchio just now! It's really short, and I didn't get to do all I wanted. Hopefully I can update it through the week and fix my code. For now, this is what it is at its base (when I was on project 2.1)

I did not end up creating more paths because coding was evil to me and i got stuck on my cave in code
#smallgamestudio

PLAN CHANGE! Im allowed to reuse my code, so I'll be adding more paths >:) Im excited. Though Death Avoider would have been banger too....my idea was to create numerous death scenarios like Final Destination...next time I suppose

Brainstormed for my unity code project, I want to make an adventure type game, where you choose a path to go down. Though, this may be too complicated to execute so I'll keep this thread updated as I watch the coding videos

It begins...this is the longest ive worked in unity so far. Ive downloaded packages since i want to be in an office setting, hope that counts for the 10 assets 10 textures. Not too far on the small details yet but i want to build the general structure first

I also chose to download catacombs. I did not last 5 minutes with this due to the headache it brought me. Deficiently do not play this while inebriated. Its interesting to think about the code that was used. The more you look around, the more the colors blend together. The environment may be modeled

#smallgamestudioarcade1 I decided to play 23henley where we get to tour through the creator's childhood home. The graphics were simple doodles that were pasted onto blocks, with the background music being ambient. It was laggy, but I could feel the thought that was put into it. Something set up

I'm just messing around in the game for project 0, I think I have the basic idea down. I feel like i may have trouble in the future with deciding what assets + envisioning what exactly I want to put down, but for now I focused on materials, setting up the FPS controller, fixing the bugs I created..
