I have discovered Mech Warrior 5 has an FPS Controls setting.
It has made the game a ton easier.
For the brief testing I did in instant action.
Cause those controls my brain couldn't process and I've had the game for a looooong time.

I love steam causing all my games to run like ass for no reason. Its not the overlay, all drivers are up to date, everything has been checked but naaaah just my steam games are now having massive fps drops and stuttering.
10/10 service. Meanwhile the non-steam games run without a hitch.
