Sister. Nerd. Teacher. Sometimes writer.
You have all the money in the world. You could get a bonus degree in something that interests you just for fun. And yet you can’t spell “cronies.” It makes Mr. Thank You For Your Attention to This Matter and his affront to spelling and apostrophes in the word “Liddle’” look like Shakespeare.

Aww, that’s the version my dad had, which means it’s the first version I read. (I’ve bought my own copy, one for my old Rocket ebook, my Kindle, and the audiobook (sadly abridged; what I’d have given for an unabridged version). Also, sadly, none signed by Shatner OR @diane.dianeduane.com

The audiobooks are good except that is NOT what Tabini’s voice sounds like in my head. The rest are quite close. (I’ve listened to the first three audiobooks in the past.)

* CJ Cherryh’s in her 80s and has had several health issues the last few years and this last book was written with a cowriter, which would be good insurance against the worst, except her cowriter is her equally health-crisis-prone wife Jane.

The internet being the internet: if you like wine and/or romance novels, more power to you. I just hate the taste of alcohol and don’t enjoy sex scenes so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Okay I’ll preface this by saying that I partake neither in wine nor in romance novels but…how would a romance novel, even excellently written which this most assuredly is not, entice someone to buy a bottle of wine?

Good news, in this economy?

Anyway, love who you love, marry who/if you want, and enjoy that that Davis lady is probably very upset today.

Right?

I love that they literally in the literal sense of literally don’t address at all why Kang, Kor, and Koloth look like TNG-era Klingons. I’m sure the DS9 haters on Usenet were up in arms but I find it charming and totally in line with TOS’s own approach to “canon” (namely: what canon?).

Agreed. I like this one way more than most (even if my OG inner nine year old Imzadi shipper doesn’t like the Troi/Worf stuff).
