Hi, I like bands- EATB, JAMC, HMHB and ones that don’t have long names too like The CURE. I make jewellery sometimes and walk my dog.

An extremely rare sighting of a (non-vocal) sound effect on a 2000 AD cover.

"PZZOOO!"

Bit weedy. Should have been...

"DrrrrrrrrrRRROOOOOOZZZZZZOINOINNNNGGG!!!"

It seems Tesla is detecting vehicles that may have problems, and artificially running their odometers faster so the warranty expires before they have to do any service

Just incredible grift

Come on, KP, bring back Griddles, so we can forget about this swimming pool vending machine maize-based snack all over again.

Judge Death returns!
He brings war, famine, pestilence, and a price hike of one penny to 2000 AD.

I used to visit Croydon with my mum for 'the big shops' We'd always have a slice of coffee cake in Allders *sigh*

O! Carlos Ezquerra, 2000AD artist lived in Croydon. Whoever this creep was, needs to have a word with themselves!

Clearly, mice got to this issue. Definitely most un-zarjaz!

So, business as usual for Joe Dredd.

The assassins mode of travel looks technologically backwards for the 22nd Century, a bit 'Little Nellie' to me. I thought they had hover vehicles in that Mega City One.

If this issue had come out two years later this herbert would probably be wearing a shell suit and eating a Filet-O-Fish. I never forgave Weetabix for turning the Weetabix skins into breakdancing casuals.

This Dave Gibbons front page is very reminiscent of the days when Dan Dare dominated the cover spot week in, week out. That's not to say this isn't a dynamic piece of art. I'll post the Angel Gang pin up later tonight. It's mint.

Judge Dredd heralds in 1981 by pointing his Lawgiver in our faces to distract us from the one pence price hike.

I hope you all had a great Xmas. In 1980.

I can imagine Jim Di Griz at the back there, whispering to Wulf Sternhammer,
"They just barged to the front. Look at them both jostling to be in the centre of the cover. Pair of divas! Nick Stone is fuming. Pint later?"

"Ja."

Return To Armageddon is another 2000 AD strip I've scant memory of. Revisiting these old issues has made me realise the comic had quite a large turnover of different stories beyond the likes of Dredd, Strontium Dog et al.

Ian Gibson's use of light and shade here is spectacular.

This was the 2000 AD strip of the Nickelodeon cartoon adaptation of The Dogs Of War' movie that was released that same year. Christopher Walken was great as the one-armed vampire turtle thing.
No, of course it wasn't. It's a Strontium Dog story with art by Ezquerra.

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

The Scots droid is about to sucker punch 'Tornado' off the front page as this is the last appearance of the very short-lived comic title on a 2000 AD cover.

Goodbye.
