Not long ago I was talking to a newish person friend and I mentioned I got a free tote bag from my phone network and she immediately looked at me weird and said, “but you’re a man.” A: No I’m not, B: Men can’t use a decent fabric bag??? Some people have such a weird limited outlook on people.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina books are so insanely good and fit into the series so well. I haven’t finished the show yet cos I’m slotting the books in at the right times but the books have increased my enjoyment of the characters so so much.

Star Wars: Crosscurrent is weird innit, a random book with new characters and a weird time travel thing and a random cloned Jedi/Sith hybrid people out of nowhere? It wasn’t the best thing I’ve ever read and I’m not bothered about a sequel but I’ll get to it when it comes up.

On Twitter I had threads nobody read where I tweeted about Hollyoaks cos I started watching it last year from 2012 and I’m up to August 2015 so I might as well continue here for nobody to read x

It also misses that for most of us this is a hobby, and Twitter stopped being fun. I don't have some kind of moral obligation to broaden the debate/ communicate for my team/ whatever. It's my phone, it's my time, and they're my thumbs, if I prefer Bluesky its no-ones business but mine.
Some people cannot comprehend that the exodus from X is not 'liberal flight' but a lot of people deciding that the content on the platform - hate/extremism, disinformation, violent/nsfw content, low quality ads, lax responses to user reports, suppression of content - just can't be ignored any more.
