Had to make a choice in my writing so I wouldn't get discombobulated, so...
Grey for eyes.
Gray for hair.

Turning off notifications as this post has become a never-ending revivifier for AI trolls, & is cluttering up my Notifications.

Y'all are smart enough to read the writing on the wall, & know better than to trust corporations who SWEAR they will do no evil...while doubling down on the evil. 😒

For those wondering why...⬇️
The whole AI thing is so fluid right now, that I feel it's best to be on the safe side and assume the worst (because 'the worst' has been a historical fact so far).

...and I'm sure they'll respect that choice.
After all, no AI company would *ever* scrape/steal creative content without getting permission first/paying.
😏

I used the free version as a backup to Spellcheck. It didn't have all the bells and whistles.

Ditto.
I used the free version as a backup to Spellcheck, and it didn't have all the AI bells and whistles, I guess.

Poisoning the well is always good.
November 6, 2025 at 4:29 PM
Maybe. My free version didn't offer that 'perk'. 🙃
November 6, 2025 at 4:27 PM
I don't know of any, but maybe someone will post something here.

I had the free version, so I could only get those features by performing a turning-widdershins blood sacrifice beneath the full moon.

They really are shooting themselves in the foot.
With a cannon.
November 6, 2025 at 4:23 PM
Maybe they could find him some good editing software for his writing. 😁
November 6, 2025 at 4:20 PM
Don't know of any, sorry.
I also only had the free version for a spellchecker and never saw any advice for writing changes. Maybe it's only in the paid version...?
November 6, 2025 at 4:17 PM
To be clear, I only used the free version of Grammarly for my writing as a backup to Spellcheck, so if it already had a sort of AI it never hit my radar. Maybe that's in the paid version?🤷
That they're making it worse is a pretty clear indicator that scraping/stealing your writing is on the horizon.

Although I will miss giving Grammarly such fits that it retreated to a corner to sob uncontrollably.😁
Some of its stuff was just *so* spot-on ironic.

No.

Many of us have said/done this innocently before or without thinking so I issue no judgement here. But the ones that know it & do it on purpose tho…

...and it's gone!
Uninstalled the program from my computer and deleted my #Grammarly account.
And...well, since they *asked*, told them exactly why. 😁
