Modelmaker, sometime journalist, owner of The Kit Box and fan of all things Assassin's Creed. Mainly though, I build miniatures and write about them!
Here's my latest model: Kingston House, Totnes in Devon.

Mixing traditional sculpting with 3D design and printing (the latter helped immeasurably by Drewe's Model Page), I was able to create this detailed façade in approximately 1/32 scale.

I hope you like it, as much as my client! :

Good afternoon everyone!

Here my interpretation of Aerocraft's 3D printed 1/32 Miles M.52. Model is all theirs; colour scheme is all mine.

I hope you like it! :)

Another day working on the new book. The Magic Factory A-4 chapter is going to be huge part of this book, 90 images, 5000 words of text, over almost 30 pages. This might be the most detailed 1/48 feature I've ever created...

All done!

Here's my build of the complex, Magic Factory 1/48 A-4M.
More on this build, later today...

I hope you like it! :)

Morning everyone - how are you?
🙂
Well, I've talked about this quite a bit over the last few weeks, so here is my now completed Resin Scales 3D printed, 1/35 Centurion AX from the War Thunder game. The model will appear in a future issue of TMMI.

Have a great day!

Afternoon, everyone.

Is this the best-value 1/35 armour kit on the market today?

Yes. Yes, it is.

More thoughts later...

Good afternoon, everyone - I hope you are well!

After talking about this for a while, my Airfix Anson is now finished! I've enjoyed building this one, so I hope you like seeing it complete, as much as I liked putting it together!

Have a great day. :)

Hi Roy. Was the main spar slightly misaligned? I don't remember having the problems that I see with your build, but that might be because I left a bit of wiggle room before joining the fuselage, cockpit and bulkhead. Here's mine, part way through assembly.

My Friday announcement!

SKYHAWK: ED HEINEMANN'S HOTROD.

This new book will feature the Airfix 1/72 A-4C, Hasegawa 1/48 A-4M and Trumpeter 1/32 A-4E. It will also include a brand-new 70+ step guide to building and painting the Magic Factory 1/48 A-4M Skyhawk II.

Thanks for looking!

Afternoon everyone!

Here's my first build of the year, Tamiya's tiny 1/48 M5 Stuart.

This one was constructed using the kit parts, with Hauler details, my own stowage and final details from Tamiya's collection of accessories. The markings are entirely fictional.

I hope you like it! :)

The brand-new Airfix 1/48 SEPECAT Jaguar is likely to be the release of the year for many modellers...

I wonder how many I can build this year? 🤔

Here's my final build of 2024.

This my reworked Academy 1/72 P-47D. Changes include a detailed cockpit, scratchbuilt flaps, rebuilt undercarriage and replacement underwing stores. Decals for Bill Wayland's 'Sleepy Jean The 3rd' came from a BarracudaCal sheet.

Have a wonderful evening!

Morning everyone!

Here is my latest build, Eduard's 1/72 rendition of 'Big Beautiful Doll', a model that I've completed for an upcoming edition of TMMI. Kit features BRASSIN updates, with decals for the kit. I hope you like the latest addition to my collection of tiny, Second World War fighters! :)

A blast from the past.

Eduard 1/72 Focke-Wulf Fw190A-8.

Whenever I build a 1/72 model, I always subconsciously compare it to the '190 that I built in 2016. My new Mustang will be no different. I wonder if it will please me as much as this little model did, 8 years ago?

The more I see of the Martin Baltimore, the more appealing it becomes...

Is this a Christmas movie? Askin' for a friend...

Box art seldom sways me to build a particular machine from a kit, but Eduard's rendition of Donald Strait's 'JERSEY JERK' may well be an exception...

Choices, choices... 🤔

Good Evening, everyone!

Revealed at Scale Model World, here are the final shots of my brand-new diorama 'Urban Warrior'. This is a fantasy scene built around a @warthunderofficial.bsky.social inspired Type 16 MCV. Plenty of gaming ideas and that colour scheme, made this a lot of fun to build!
