I love camping gear, and if you're in the market for a camp table, my favorite one is 25 percent off at Dick’s sporting goods!! Get this thing ... it holds 100 lbs and breaks down into a little CD case. Whoever engineered this thing should be a NASA genius if they aren't already.

Am I in sequoia national park or residential Portland?

You make the call

Portland is full of beautiful places to walk your dog including Laurelhurst Park with the super sweet foliage

Three things about this picture:

(1) my dog is adorable

(2) this hallway is hotel-y or otherwise reminiscent of The Shining

(3) I’m the only apartment in the hall with a welcome mat and it says So Whatcha Whatcha Whatcha Want

I’m a NYer and I’m well aware we have a well deserved reputation for complaining about things but I’m here to tell you that if you want a good bagel in Portland, you can find one at Bernstein’s Bagels!!!

Portland convention center as seen from my dog walk

Cool building

I try not to take the small things for granted

Hard to argue with any of this; currently living it.

It isn’t a good time.

Had my first great hike in Portland, 900 feet of elevation and 2.5 miles to the best view of town, then down 2.5 miles for two beers and two slices of pizza at a bar named after my favorite novel. Oregon, we’re gonna be great friends.

I’m a NYer who relocated west so you can completely disregard my West Coast opinions if you’re a native…

But I just moved to Portland AND I LOVE THIS PLACE and like it way more than Sacramento … and I liked living in Sacramento!

Wishing y’all the best finding your place in 2026

Wow Portland you are a super beautiful place

First full day in Portland …

Climbed a volcano

We basically pulled a magic trick. 1200 miles in 25 hours; there were multiple rest stops that I stopped at twice yesterday, once with the rental van and once in my Subaru on the way back. And today Pepper can sleep as much as she wants… at our new home in Portland

Six months ago I was basically paralyzed by the circumstances of life;

I had just been let go from a job I didn’t like, and my dog had a catastrophic stroke out of nowhere…

I went from being sure everything would work out to overwrought with anxiety in 24 hours…

Thankful it all worked out

Heyyy I moved to Portland today (but I still haven’t actually fully moved out of my Sacramento spot)
November 8, 2025 at 1:01 AM
I still don’t know too much about Portland to be honest— and I’m moving in three days — but I just learned about Forest Park, which is even bigger than Central Park and has about 80 miles of dog-friendly trails. It’s one of the largest urban forests in America and it’s two miles from my apartment!

True Population Facts:

I grew up in a town with about 35,000 people.

It had an hourly train to a city with 8 million.

I currently live in a state with FORTY million people …

But I am moving to a state of only FOUR million people.

Hey Oregon: looking forward to the elbow room

I covered 300 games in skydome/rogers centre

It was my home office for four years when I was a young man

Happy for the fans who have waited through a lot of bad baseball for this game

Fox viewers … are connoisseurs of hyperbole and they largely eat it whole; they have not proven to be discerning or resistant to it and I’m going to need to see data to say otherwise
