I’m excited to announce I’m running for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia.

We need Democrats who fight. That means showing up, saying hard truths out loud, and refusing to comply in advance.

Senate Republicans have just thrown out 20 of our amendments to HB 127.

The GOP is out of step with procedure, and we will not let it stand.
BAD BILL ALERT: Senate Republicans have waited literally 'til the 11th hour to unleash HB 127, which, if passed, would ban DEI programs and initiatives in schools.

The bill initially offered teachers more sick leave days. Republicans deleted that part.

If you’re looking for acts of resistance, the @gasenatedems.com are using every rule in the book to draw out the debate on #HB127, a bill which the majority party stripped and replaced with language to defund schools & universities with any programs for “DEI”.

@gasenatedems.com were ready to lay out exactly how #HB127 will erase decades of progress towards equity and inclusion in Georgia. With over 20 amendments and 30 min of comment on each, Senator Derek Mallow began what promised to be a long night of @booker.senate.gov level commitment in Georgia. 7/x

The GA GOP just gave a bunch of rich assholes a gigantic tax cut and left us with almost nothing.
Georgia Republicans just handed the richest people in Georgia a gigantic tax cut and offered you (at best) $70.

Through the bill, registered patients can legally possess up to 2 ounces of medical cannabis, ensuring they get the appropriate medical care they need and deserve.

We are thankful for all the amazing folks that showed up for the cause. The work continues.
