I really enjoyed it! After Ginga left me pretty cold, X felt like a great return to form. Some gripes persist from Ginga, but even those are much better implemented. It's a good time.

Modern Toku is chock full of people treating toys like they're deadly weapons in-universe but this one might even the most unfortunate I've seen in a hot minute. Those colors make it look like he's threatening them with a Nerf gun.

Finished Ultraman Ginga S The Movie: Showdown! The 10 Ultra Warriors!
I had a good time, but I have to admit a lot of that was carried by seeing my boys again. Those Heisei shows were something special, so seeing a tribute like this was pretty cool.

Definitely a step-up from the first season. I'm still not a fan of the Ultlive gimmick, but it's definitely less obnoxious here. The larger scale and sets were much appreciated.

I'm like 9 episodes into Ginga S and so far I think Ginga Strium might be the worst power-up form. It gives him the powers of the Ultra Brothers, which so far has just been their different beams.

Gotta be honest, I did not vibe with this show at all. There's some good moments, but at its most foundational level it didn't deliver what I look for in an Ultraman show, and what it did instead felt either awkward or just plain stupid.
