Modern Toku is chock full of people treating toys like they're deadly weapons in-universe but this one might even the most unfortunate I've seen in a hot minute. Those colors make it look like he's threatening them with a Nerf gun.

Green Swoop, Goop, if you will.

Ultraman being a series largely about giants smashing miniature sets does mean it's pretty novel when we get to see a tiny guy running around a really big set

From appearances you'd assume the Valgeness armor gives Omega some kind of fire powers but nah, he becomes the Avatar, apparently.

Buying SHMA and Figuarts this year has been nuts because there's some really poseable, fun figures that remind me why I love this hobby, released next to a repaint of some pretty dusty, crusty old molds from nearly a decade ago.

Something about the way X's head is designed always reminds me of Robocop or something. A smooth organic face being pulled over a robotic skull.

I no longer have "bugs in my hair" due to the fact that the ecological conditions of my scalp has caused them to evolve into fully functional vertebrates.

You can call him Ultraman X all you want, but true fans know his real name is Ultraman Twitter.

I've spent countless hours fixing stuff I had no idea how to fix, just because I could find some kind of guide or help online. Now Google has choked everything with so much garbage it's hard to know where you can start. These algorithms do not understand specifics.

Figuarts announcing a load of figures from stuff I just barely watched is pretty fun. Like the Ginga S Movie was the last Ultra thing I finished and boom, there he is.

Alright, secured me a copy. Our monthly Skybound Transformers Day can proceed as normal.

Issue 26 of Skybound Transformers was supposed to be out today, but for whatever reason the Kindle version was pushed back two weeks.

Love when the version touting "quick and immediate access" is slower to release for some friggin reason.

Finished Ultraman Ginga S The Movie: Showdown! The 10 Ultra Warriors!

I had a good time, but I have to admit a lot of that was carried by seeing my boys again. Those Heisei shows were something special, so seeing a tribute like this was pretty cool.

Watching Ultraman Ginga S The Movie! It promises the return of my boys.

Finished Ultraman Ginga S!

Definitely a step-up from the first season. I'm still not a fan of the Ultlive gimmick, but it's definitely less obnoxious here. The larger scale and sets were much appreciated.

I think the moral of Ginga S is that no matter how dire things get, there's always time to rock out to some Ultraman tunes.

In '66 Zetton beats Ultraman, but is overcome by humanity, showing that they've grown beyond needing Ultraman's protection. Ginga has an interesting spin on that, with Zetton being used to show that while humanity has the power, the people in charge are not yet ready to wield it.

Metron glowsticks is maybe my favorite thing to come from Ginga.
