Paint question: we are replacing the bottom 2’ of drywall on every wall in our house. The remainder of the walls are already finished and painted. When we go to paint the walls, do we need to prime the entire wall or just the 2 feet that we have replaced with new drywall?

I just started reading The Great Gatsby for the high school lit class I teach for our homeschool co-op. I had forgotten how horribly boring it is.
