Plot idea: what if God and Satan switched names to see if people would follow evil under the banner of holiness?
I think we’re all ignoring how many zoomers will love trump for backing their guy vs establishment democrats. This isn’t as great as it seems.
This is pretty funny. I had to mute the TV to get away from his voice, but I'm curious what the MAGAs will make of it. Will they suddenly become Mamdani-stans, or will this be the one thing Trump got wrong in his otherwise perfect reign?
Trump frickin' loves this guy lmao

Make sure you’re aware of privacy updates on Spotify that you may not want.
very low importance but… the new spotify feature “messages” is verrrry surveillance-esque & feels creepy plus was pushed in an app update you may not have noticed. if you still use spotify, you can turn it off. here.

We don’t talk much about how we’ve lost that shared community of watching the same shows (or listening to the same songs) at the same time and talking about them together. Social media sucks, but this loss sucks, too.
On television, Tuesday 13 October 1959.

Well, looked there. Benny Johnson respecting they/them pronouns.
This is either completely made up or it’s Fetterman.

Both equally plausible.

Concerned for the small farms in danger of going under who were “lied to” by Trump? Yeah no. I’ve worked in at for years and this video lays out exactly what drove ag behavior. Her best question - if farmers weren’t growing soybeans for Americans, why should American taxpayers bail them out?
... and then he bought the votes of those farmers with bailouts and tax breaks. So he tanked their business AND did a wealth transfer from other ppl/programs to cover the tanking.

I’m really worried that all the rounded up immigrants will be forced to work in the fields for no pay as part of their incarceration - we as a country are so close to openly supporting modern day slavery in the US. (And I get chain gangs are part of this.)

Got this in my text messages today. No worries. I’ll be giving full credit.

🚨🚨ALERT🚨🚨 Republicans in Congress just passed President Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill" that significantly benefits everyday Americans! Republicans voted to slash wasteful spending, protect American workers,

The GOP has finally garnered the support it needs to destroy the services it's always hated by co-opting a major portion of the democratic base. What's lamer - the people voting for a net-free descent into hard poverty or the party that let it happen?
“What Trump’ Republicans want enacted is the most anti-blue collar budget in memory. Call it Hunger Games 2025. It is an odd way of repaying their voters.” My column www.ft.com/content/6685...

This is an excellent take. Elected republicans get a pass from trump voters who are unrivaled in their devotion to whatever trump does to them…and republicans successfully hide behind it. If everything was framed as republican policies, they wouldn’t be able to hide as easily.
I wish journalists wouldn’t focus so much on the president himself. There is an entire Republican cabal collectively responsible for this. It was quite clear what they were signing up for in the November elections, and this is what they have got.

The absolute height of narcissism and shamelessness, and people thought, “Yeh, he’d be a good president.”
Of course Trump is the only jackass wearing a blue suit and blue tie to a funeral when they asked people to wear dark suits and black ties….such an embarrassment

Cat food just moved up 30 cents a can for cat food made in the US. Just a little proof that tariffs cause a rise in prices for domestically produced products.

Trump left it still smoldering, actually.
You set the house on fire, watched it burn, and then lost your nerve and put it out. You now have a partially burned house. Great job.

Once again, trump has committed arson and is loving the big flames, and republicans are doing nothing to put out the fire.

Why was it I could see the wheels coming off the cart and these financial geniuses couldn’t?

Well…They thought they could control the uncontrollable. They bought the farce that trump is a normal politician with normal policies. Mostly, they’re MAGA who can’t believe the leopards ate THEIR faces.
