When I worked as a game designer, everyone was required to give a talk to the rest of design to help people learn across projects. Most of these talks are like mini-postmortems, game reports, or other lessons.
I chose to speak on why I think we're obligated to make games that make people better.

I have been writing about fighting games for a long time, and I am very good at it, so here's a thread of my greatest hits for folks who are new to the Patrick Miller Experience.
I love FGs because they push people to improve themselves, so that's usually what I focus on.
