It was really scary for a moment, even though in the end I was fine. My husband reminded me that you have to take care of yourself before you can help anyone else. Today could have ended very differently and I only had myself (okay, and the sun) to blame.

My mom that I needed to lay down in the grass, and did so. Thankfully, that was all I needed in that moment. Ten minutes, in the shade, with my fan on my face. And my mom and niece nearby. And when we got back to the car I chugged my water and turned the AC on high.

I really needed to be in the shade, so as I walked the 20ft or so to a shady bench my knees felt wobbly and my vision was starting to go black around the edges. I sat in the shade for just a moment starting to worry I was going to pass out and my mother and niece wouldn't be able to help me. I told
