Father. Husband. Tattoo artist. In that order.
Based out of SE Michigan.
Just got back from seeing the new Nosferatu movie, and man…. Quite good.

Maintains the original’s atmosphere of constant dread. Really amplifies the horror and is genuinely frightening. Not 100% of Count Orlok’s design, but also not a deal breaker. Movie of the year, for me.

How long is it going to take for the geniuses who comprise the Democratic party to realize that you get no credit for "being responsible"?

An example of why I dislike politicization of diet:

Yes, meat consumption contributes to climate change. Also yes, no/low carb diets may help w/ epilepsy.

Blanket condemnation of people who eat a lot of meat stigmatizes some who have no choice. And you can't tell who is who w/out invading privacy.

Gee, who knew that so many hot young ladies who enjoy food pics and travel would be interested in my middle aged, fat ass?

The bots here aren’t very subtle.

Democrats should spend exactly zero political capital stopping any Trump deportation efforts.

It is madness to spend capital trying to help people who are no longer a major part of your electoral coalition.

Exactly! The amount of stupid shit he’s going to do and the comedown his supporters will experience will be epic. Remember how quickly Bush lost all support after Katrina and the crash? He’s not good at handling crises. Just one and he’s mayor of Loserville.
i have plenty of thoughts on why it matters that this is an illegal order but here i’ll just comment that i think liberals who throw their hands up and say “it doesn’t matter” have self lobotomized themselves into thinking that trump is god king of america
Trump confirms that he plans to deport US citizens who have undocumented parents

Good luck with that. He can’t even get his clown parade of cabinet officials confirmed, but his old, tired, crazy ass is going to amend the constitution? Do his followers have any idea how heavy a lift that is?

OK sports fans, so this is my last bulletin for my position at @losangelestimes.bsky.social. I resigned yesterday in protest of the paper's and owner's cozying up to Trump. Here's my explanation on my substack, where I hope you will follow me going forward.

they say bluesky’s an echo chamber but i’m only half joking when i point out that there’s been some really vigorous debate on here today as to whether it is good or bad that the CEO of a major health insurance conglomerate was murdered in cold blood in the street

The Moscow puppet government in Georgia decided to attack pro-democracy protestors with water cannons, pepper spray, tear gas, and rubber bullets, the protestors responded with the equivalent of a fireworks mini gun. #georgiaprotests

At this point we've seen more than enough . . . it's time for a constitutional amendment that limits presidential immunity *and* presidential pardon power. There is no reason for any vestiges of royalty in our republican form of government. The abuses have gone on for too long.

@drmoore.bsky.social , I know that your stand against all this hasn't been without cost, and I greatly appreciate it. As a former Catholic who long ago lapsed, people like you are the only thing keeping me from 100% despising Christianity. It's as though the red letters mean nothing any more.
These first couple of days here remind me of the earliest days on Twitter, a conversation free of what the Apostle Paul called “an unhealthy craving for controversy and quarrels about words.”

Let’s keep it that way.

I don't know, guys. I'm starting to feel like Trump doesn't have such great judgement. That can't be right, though, can it?
