I was a translator at Funimation. After the CR merger, I got laid off, despite having recently received high feedback on my work. My manager called me two days before Christmas to tell me I was off the Winter season anime I had just started on.🥲
When Crunchyroll merged with Funimation, they got rid of all the people in management who a) were actual fans of anime b) had any interest in marketing outside of the boy's market.
