Caved and bought Nightreign. Played one round with randos and had some fun, in spite of my reservations.
Wasn't nuts about the class I picked though (Ironeye). Took me a while to figure out I didn't HAVE to use only bow weapons. Also no voice chat is nuts. To Discord we go.
