Sometimes it takes a bit of chaos, a testament to the fragility of things, but the past week of noise, firings, and political maneuvering surrounding the LSU football program has been a healthy reminder of the inseverable bond I have with it. For good or ill, it’s in my blood.

Over the years, I’ve gone out of my way to reduce my sports viewing/fandom to as casual a place as possible, but the NFL has remained the exception.

Having just taken in both Superman and the first season of Peacemaker, I’m thoroughly convinced that DC Studios is in good hands. Two very different tonal approaches and balances of reverence/irreverence, but the shared sincerity, passion, humor, and empathic storytelling has really won me over.

If you’re in the games business, and somehow (as often happens) your company somehow is now focused on something else (AI, XR, “IP,” acquisitions, etc.) you’re in for a period of struggle. Everyone will wonder what’s wrong. But you know. It’s about games. Gameplay.
