Outstanding webinar this afternoon with Heather Cox Richardson and Simon Rosenberg. Three, among many, take-aways:
1) We need to put pressure on our elected leaders.
2) We need to act out. Trump hates protests.
3) We are are stronger than we know.

Nope. Instead there needs to be carefully crafted legislation specifically outlawing any president doing this kind of garbage. The rule of law will win and it will win quicker if more of us realize this power grab is built on sand. Do not comply. Hold the certainty of the arc of justice.

Maybe tizzyent.bsky.social can help. He's big on TikTok and does some really helpful things there and on IG. If you see this, Mr. Ent (?), could you please help? Heather is a trusted source that is doing great work.

Your bio reminded me of my speech teacher in 9th grade. He was a courageous guy. He wore a button that said, "Don't blame me, I voted for McGovern" - to school in a very conservative town near Kansas City.

If folks are looking for less ancient examples of very high top marginal tax rates, one need only go back to 1963, when Donald Trump was 17 years old and America was (presumably) great the way it should be again, when the top marginal tax rate was 91%. Not a typo. taxpolicycenter.org/statistics/h...
