The Labour leadership continues its grim march to erode civil liberties under the guise of maintaining public order. A depressing strategy aimed at silencing challenges to the status quo, especially from movements for international solidarity and environmental justice.

One million people have already signed a petition against ID cards.

If we’re serious about rebuilding trust, this is the last place to start.

It's like deciding to become a pacifist and then walking into your roughest local pub and knocking everyone's pints out of their hands.

Pride in Place is good news for Shoebury and Southend, so long as local people lead from day one, projects include long-term maintenance, and spend stays local through co-ops and SMEs.

Priorities: libraries and community spaces, green spaces, youth facilities, revitalising the local shopping hubs.
'Long overlooked' Shoebury set to benefit from major £20million investment
The investment forms part of the £5 billion Pride in Place programme, unveiled by Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

UK climate leadership means our Prime Minister showing up. You go to Belém to push tougher targets and for real support to manage climate impacts already hitting our communities, transport, and cost of living. If Reform jeer and sling insults, isn't that proof you’re doing the right thing... #COP30

Digital ID’s promised benefits are small; most of this is already in place. But the downsides are real; vulnerable people will be shut out & mission creep is almost certain. Rights & public service, please, not a universal key that ties your life together for the state, techbros, and multinationals.

That’s enough to end global poverty - 22 times over.
