Mechanical pencils are seemingly the best
I don’t know what it is about them, the feel, the lead width, the quality of line but they are :)

The weirdest light I ever experienced was during approx last 30min or so as partial was happening while waiting for totality (sat on a WW2 flak bunker on the tip of Guernsey in 1999) it all tasted very loud, strange, awesome (syni)
It didn’t happen after, ended when totality did which surprised me
