This is no way to treat our veterans Prime Minister.

My math not great, received detention for missing double math to take art o level a year early
Failed O-level 2x ‘D’ & 3rd time as they had changed syllabus & gave you formula I couldn’t remember as AuDHDy passed with ‘A’
Geology at school 1st class, even led the A-level field trips

I didn't study geology because I wanted to do maths or computer programming. They do not interest me. I wanted to learn about rocks etc.
I also have severe dyslexia and dyscalculia. I literally cannot *do* maths beyond a basic level. Should that preclude people like me from geo/earth sciences.

The world is full of people & institutions who will unapologetically exploit our "fawn" trauma response.
It's up to us to not shame ourselves for being vulnerable to that kind of pressure-- & to manage our underappreciated "fawn" reflex w/ respect, realism, & compassion.

I'm not a fan of trauma survivors trying to replace their "negative" thoughts w/ "positive" ones.
But I'm a big fan of survivors learning to swap out unfair, self-brutalizing thoughts for realistic, self-compassionate ones, one tiny, awkward, unfamiliar bit at a time.
