I used to do MRI calibration type studies as a graduate students. They pay me $10 an hour to lay in the MRI. My record without coming out of the machine was about 6.5 hours. I just took a long long nap and tried not to think without having to pee.

It helps (me) to read that post as if was written sarcastically.

Google tells me the concept started in Hungary? Also, here's a video from the greek parent company pitching to franchisee food trucks. I'm not sure if that frosting/chocolate combo is amazing or gross but I think it's both, at the same time. www.youtube.com/shorts/1I4Ta...

Dough is rolled out in strips and then wrapped around a wooden core, covered in sugar or other topping, and then grilled/cooked. After that, one can request from a dozen toppings.

And don't go to a Greek church food festival if the sight of people waving the flag of their ancestors and likely existing family members bothers you! 😱

Well, you can use crypto to pay someone halfway around the world. Oh but wait, you can use a wire transfer from your checking account for that. So perhaps having some crypto will save you a $10 to $40 wire transfer fee. 😁

It is indeed true that some crypto has increased dramatically in value. It is also true that beanie babies made some people a fortune because they also went up in value dramatically. However, neither Bitcoin nor beanie babies have much inherent worth.

I worked in South Dakota and someone move to me cause they didn't want to be treated by that [racist explitive]. I responded it was a shame, because the previous treatment and advice provided was perfect, and that I would need to solicit that other physician's advice to help continue their care.

Treasuries ARE "safe" assets (barring US default). BUT, the value (particularly "long-term" treasuries) can fluctuate dramatically with changes in interest rates. So if banks bet incorrectly on rate predictions, the value of their holdings can go down, a lot. Result? Increased chance of failure.

Thanks! In all my previous attempts, I struggle to break 100. I got lucky, um, I mean, it was ALL SKILL!!, ha ha. Anyway, I figured posting about a bowling score better than posting about politics, or the tax clients I extended (their fault) who think they can ignore their taxes until Oct 14th. Grr.

That's the same outfit I wore!

Apparently there is not a huge bowling community here on Blue sky. 😉

But note the GUTTER ball in the 7th frame, after TWO prior strikes. That one HURT. Because this score was already a record. Sigh.

I'm conflicted about this, but so many trainees have been instructed to do this. I will admit, I was prepared to write a glowing rec but who wrote a draft for me and it saved me so much time.

Standard of living for physicians is declining every year. Physician wages have not kept pace with average non-physician wages, AND tuition has gone up markedly.

Here's AAMC data for private and public schools, vs primary care wages (using BLS data) over the past 20 years.
