Just to make clear from the jump. Even if Gen AI were in any way useful or anything remotely resembling the hyperbolic claims of its biggest proponents (it isn't at all), any game dev is within their right to fight it on the basis of protecting their livelihood.

also, I can't blame bernie for thinking about running off reservation for the likes of chris mckenzie. she would have me reconsidering my allegiances as well.

beat the first wizardry title. i liked it. i respect it. this game is an rpg keystone, particularly influential on a number of JRPG's that are franchise juggernauts. dragon quest, final fantasy, most of atlus's titles.

talking about metal gear solid today got me pondering, and I think one of the funniest characters is sigint AKA Donald Anderson.
because in "lore," he is wildly significant. founding member of the patriots. built their AI. his on-screen presence amounted to being a dogshit weapons expert lol.

this wireframe presentation was entirely new in the late 70's, it had to be moved UCSD Pascal after it wouldn't run properly in BASIC, they had to wait for a better run-time system to come out, etc. etc.
