They’re planning on building a detention center for migrants in the middle of the fetid swamps of Florida.
If you think this is something new, the first internment camp they sent me and my family to in 1942 was a barbed wire prison called Rohwer. It was located in the swamps of Arkansas.

A win! Thank you to everyone who spoke out! After facing bipartisan resistance, the Senate Parliamentarian, ruled that Sen. Mike Lee’s proposal to sell off millions of acres of federal land cannot be included under reconciliation rules.

A win! Thank you to everyone who spoke out! After facing bipartisan resistance, the Senate Parliamentarian, ruled that Sen. Mike Lee’s proposal to sell off millions of acres of federal land cannot be included under reconciliation rules.
Gov Desantis and AG Uthmeier are pushing forward plans to build an ICE Detention facility in Big Cypress National Preserve. Not only is this damaging for the ecosystem, but people would be housed in tents in the hot and humid Florida summer.
