These threats aren’t abstract. They are real. They’ve hurt the people I love. We all need to stand against this.

As a reminder, Joseph Welch — who defied McCarthy and brought him low with the “no sense of decency” line — was a partner at the prestigious firm of Hale and Dorr (now WilmerHale).

It’s not only possible for leading firms to resist; it’s essential.
All we need right now is at least one big law firm to speak out and take a stand - surely they will get support from others.

It’s also time for associates in those firms to speak out and push their partners internally and also organize externally.

History won’t be kind to those who are silent.
It does face backlash, it will face backlash & especially in light of last night's EO - Trump's broadest, most unhinged swipe against lawyers who oppose him yet -- I am heartened by what I'm hearing from many in the profession more determined than ever to push back.

Trudeau: I want to speak first directly to the American people… your government has chosen to do this to you. Your government has chosen to put American jobs at risk. They have chosen to raise costs for American consumers on everyday essential items…

Losing NOAA would be devastating. Project 2025 authors want to get rid of it because it monitors climate change, and privatize the information it currently provides for free, so you'll have to buy information about the weather and the winds (imperative for mariners).

Andy Biggs helped plan January 6, according to Ali Alexander.

He should be in federal prison, probably for the rest of his natural life.

But Merrick Garland had to play politics first, so instead tens of millions of workers will lose all safety protections at work.

That the size of it, basically?
